Mediation is a process in which an independent and impartial third party (the mediator) assists parties negotiate and resolve disputes and reach a mutually acceptable outcome.

When relationships breakdown, be it family or commercial, resolving conflict can feel overwhelming and a long way off. Mediation is a structured process which allows parties to voice their concerns and promote their interests, and thereby encourages adjusted views and positions in a common effort to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.

The Court process can be costly, unpredictable, stressful and extremely time consuming. Outcomes are taken out of the hands of parties and often relationships between parties are further damaged. Mediation encourages parties to take control of the outcome and to reach agreements which are acceptable to both. Mediation is significantly more time and cost effective, and allows parties to move forward in a positive direction.
